Two other units until Aug 1957 when sent to HQ ANG, Andrews AFB, MD, and converted to VB-26B staff transport. 7/24/69: SOS and ferried to the Strategic Air Command Museum at Offutt AFB, NE. It was transported to the new museum facility at Ashland, NE in 1997.

USAAF s/n 41-39553. Rockwell-Collins photo. Registered to North American Aviation November 1967. Crashed into an apartment building in Los Angeles on May 10, 1969 after losing an engine on take-off. All four on board were killed.

Initially delivered to USAAF in 1945 as 44-34535. Delivered to Portuguese Air Force in 1965 as 7101. Modified and refurbished for counter insurgency operations in Portugal's African colonies; Seen here marked as FAR 933and repainted as 937 on nose following Hurricane Michelle in Nov 2001. It is thought that Cuban forces in Angola might have brought this plane back to Cuba. However a doubt exist concerning the real history of this A-26. It might have been sold separatly to Cuba for use as a parts source only in the late 1950s until it was repaired and put in service under Cuban AF.

Became CF-DFC and crashed into Stoyoma Mountain, BC - 11 August 1974

Built as A-26C S/N 44-35640. Sold surplus in 1957 and used as the prototype for the Smith Tempo II executive modification of the A-26. Only one other Tempo II was built. At the time slide was taken it was owned by University of Nevada (from 1968 to 1980) for their Desert Research Institute. Crashed on 2 March 1980 after icing up while on a weather research flight over the Sierra Nevada mountains with no survivors.

Originally built as A-26B USAAF S/N 44-34264. At some point converted to On Mark Marketeer. Was with the CAF from February 1970 through 1977. In 1981 the a/c was damaged by fire while taxiing and was put in storage and used for spare parts.

Originally built as A-26C 44-35913. At the time slide was taken a/c was owned by Western Contracting Corporation of Lincoln, NE. This a/c as of 2021 is on display at Dyess AFB, TX.

Originally built as A-26B 41-39472. Still on display at the Castle Air Museum.

Built as A-26B 44-34766, never served on active duty and sent directly to be sold surplus. Flew in the 1947 Bendix Race, and was converted into an On Mark Marketeer in 1961. Became N9150 in 1968 and briefly put on display at Castle Air Museum in 1982, as seen here (left side was in US Navy markings). Traded out in Dec 1984 and based at Santa Monica, CA by 1987. To Thermco Aviation of Van Nuys, CA in 1994 as N26BK and although not flown in many years it was still current with them by 2021.

Originally built as A-26C USAAF S/N 44-35493. At the time slide was taken the a/c was outfitted with fog dispersal spray booms. This a/c as of 2021 was located at the War Eagles Air Museum at Santa Teresa, New Mexico.

With the Aerojet General logo on the tail. Originally built as A-26C USAAF S/N 43-22652. Exported to Canada in 1974. As of 2021 on display at the Travis AFB Heritage Center.
