Built in 1961, first flight on November 28. Registered to United in October 1970 as N1015U, cancelled in November 1970 and exported to the Netherlands. It was bought by Transavia and registered PH-TRS. Leased to Air Afrique between September 1974 and February 1976. Delivered to the Republique Du Tchad in April 1976 as TT-AAD. The aircraft entered service with the Rijksluchtvaartschool (RLS) in September 1946. In September 1960, the registration was cancelled and the aircraft was sold to a private owner together with PH-UBE and PH-UEI. The aircraft was put on display on the roof of car breaker Knoop in Aduard from 1960 to 1974. From there it went to the garden of a private person in Hornhuizen as a play-object for his children. The aircraft was damaged during a storm at Hornhuizen in February 1979 and then scrapped afterwards. Photo from Harm Reinders

Registered to the NLS in Rotterdam/Waalhaven in November 1931, later to the NLS chapters Rijswijk/Ypenburg (date unknown) and Rotterdam/Twenthe (September 1931). The aircraft suffered an accident at Teuge in August 1938. The only damage was a broken propeller but the registration was cancelled in February 1939. Back to PH-AIB with private owners between May 1939 and November 1940. The aircraft was seized by the Germans and in the second half of 1941 the useful parts were harvested and the rest scrapped. Built in 1965 and originally meant for the USAF as 62-12845, but not taken up. Delivered to the Luftwaffe in 1965 as CA103, later reregistered as 1103. To Egypt in January 1987 as SU-DAH. Usually 1 aircraft was based in Kevlavik (Iceland) for reconnaissance of the Soviet fleet. At Hato (Curacao), it wasn't an unusual sight to see 3 aircraft, which were used in the war against drugs. Due to budget cuts, the squadron was disbanded and homebase Valkenburg was closed. '310' entered service in April 1984 and was retired in October 2001. From Oostende (EBOS) to Tønder (EKTD). Built in 1972 as D-KCIL and exported to Denmark in October 1979 as OY-XKC. The registration was cancelled in June 2002, when the aircraft was exported the UK as G-CBPC. The registration was cancelled by the CAA in July 2017, but the aircraft was reregistered with the same registration in September 2018, to an Englishman in Spain. From Luxemburg (ELLX) to Borkum (EDWR). The aircraft was built in 1947 as N8105K, delivered as HB-TUR early September 1947. The aircraft was deregistered in April 1976, its fate is unknown to me. Photo by Harm Reinders

Arrived from Herning (EKHG) the day before. The Valmet L-70 Vinka was a Finnish-designed military basic trainer of the 1970's. 30 aircraft were built for the Finnish Air Force in the 1980's, with deliveries between October 1980 and 1982. Valmet attempted to market the type internationally under the name L-70 Miltrainer, but no orders followed. A turboprop version was built, with the prototype (OH-VBB) flying in February 1985. Unfortunately the aircraft was destroyed in an accident in April 1985. Judging the above info, it seems likely that OH-VAA was the prototype/demonstrator for the L-70.

Pictured after arrival from Southend (EGMC), going to Roskilde (EKRK). Likely the delivery flight to Denmark, as the aircraft became OY-ARF in December 1977. Cancelled in January 1987. Exported to Australia where it was rebuilt and registered VH-POB in October 2004. Reportedly still active at the time of the upload.

One of the aircraft pictured carries the banner 'First 727 for USAir'. The first newly delivered 727 to USAir (after the name change) was c/n 22162, which became N770AL. In November 1988, the aircraft was reregistered N762US. To ATA in February 1993 as N762AT, to DHL with the same registration in June 2004. Finally to Associated Aviation in November 2010 as 5N-BNQ. The accompanying text reads: "Delivery of the first 747SP for Pan Am On the first flight from Seattle (KSEA) to New York, the aircraft already transported cargo. In this photo you can see 2 other 747SP's being prepared for delivery; the second aircraft for Pan Am (N532PA), the first 747SP for Iran Air (EP-IAA) and the first 747SP for South African (ZS-SPD). At that time, 17 747SP's were ordered." Amusingly the text calls this aircraft the '747SP Junior Jumbo'. Delivered to United in February 1986 as N143UA. Withdrawn from use in August 1995, scrapped at Ardmore (KADM) late 1997/early 1998.

Built by Koolhoven (together with G-AAGC) as production examples for Desoutter, who acquired the license for the production of FK.41's in England. both aircrat were fitted with a Cirrus Hermes I, just like the Desoutter-built aircraft would have. G-AALI was the third Dutch-built F.K.41, arriving in the UK in August 1929. It featured the lowered tailplane and an additional fin area. Arrived from Norderney the day before. Built in 1940 and originally built for the Swedish Air Force (as Fv5069, a Klemm Sk15C) for training purposes. Withdrawn from use in 1947 and sold to KHT Flyhklubb on October 10, 1949 as SE-BHX. Sold to a German owner in 1963 or 1964 and the SE-BHX was cancelled on October 6, 1964.
