Operated by Centre National d'Études des Télécommunications (CNET) as 13142 / F-SEBD since 1964, until transferred to Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis (AJBS) on 24 May 1980. In 1981 it was allocated registration F-BLOZ, but this was not taken up. In the mid 1980s it became a static exhibit at La Ferté-Alais, and in 1989 it was used in the movie "Suivez Cet Avion", painted with "Honeymoon Airways" titles. In the 1990s the C-47 was painted in USAAF markings with various fake serials, first 315111, then 315101 and finally as seen here, as 313142 (based on the c/n). In 2015 a new restoration project was started for this aircraft.

C-17As are the most flexible strategic air transport aircraft in US Air Force inventory. This McChord AFB (WA) Globemaster III made a back-track at Kandahar's runway for a speedy take-off.

Arriving at Fairford to take its place in the static park for RIAT'09. The red ejection seat warning triangles give away the positions of the five crewmembers - pilot and co-pilot on the upper forward flight deck, electronic warfare officer to their rear, and navigator and radar navigator on the lower flight deck. "SAC Time" also carries 17 mission symbols above the entry hatch.
