She was rescued from the Arizona desert and brought to the California desert by the AFFTC Museum in 1984 and subsequently restored to static display standard.

This Mosquito is in reality RS709, a B.Mk. 35, but has been restored to a USAAF Mk. XVI configuration and given the fake aerial NS519, a weather reconnaissance aircraft of the 653rd BS based in England in 1944-1945. This Mosquito was also formerly G-ASKA, N9797 and G-MOSI.
