So SAS sent SE-DKO to ensure a back-up aircraft, and it was towed to a remote parking until SK 907 had left with LN-RCB

SE-DAS was one of 17 DC-0-41s delivered to SAS in 1974 with Y122 seating for domestic services, replacing DC-9-21s which were to be used for thin international services, and also replacing the last Caravelles in the SAS fleet. SE-DAS had the name "Gardar Viking". 1984 SE-DAS was repainted to the colours on this photo, and reconfig CY105. April 1988 SE-DAS was named "The Viking King" for the Swedish King's official visit to the USA. It was not renamed to "Gardar Viking" again until 1990. June 18th 1997 G-BGJE was rolled out with this Hong Kong "Redevuz" tail created by Yip Man-Yam. January 20th 2001 ZS-SIU Safair (leased to SAA until Augsut 2004). January 24th 2006 HC-CFL Icaro Air. June 2011 wfu and stroed. In stead of flying the scheduled returnflight to LGW, it was towed to the old part of airport, and the BU hangar probably due to some kind of snag, and did not leave before the next day.

June 18th 1997 G-BGJE was rolled out with this Hong Kong "Redevuz" tail created by Yip Man-Yam. January 20th 2001 ZS-SIU Safair (leased to SAA until Augsut 2004). January 24th 2006 HC-CFL Icaro Air. June 2011 wfu and stroed. In stead of flying the scheduled returnflight to LGW, it was towed to the old part of airport, and the BU hangar probably due to some kind of snag, and did not leave before the next day.
