Whilst in Berlin, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to have a look around at Tempelhof. Since its closure in 2008, it has now been turned into a park which everyone can access. Whether you want to have a walk around, ride your bike, walk your dog or just sit down on a runway and have a drink (like I did), it's all possible. Even though you know it's closed down now, I couldn't help getting those old "DC-4 at Tempelhof" images in my head that I had seen on the web. A very unique place for sure!

The prototype of the Junkers G31, clearly at Tempelhof. The G24 in the background is D-946 which dates the photo before September 1928. It looks like the G31 has three BMW VI engines at this point. The prototype of the Junkers G31, clearly at Tempelhof. The G24 in the background is D-946 which dates the photo before September 1928. It looks like the G31 has three BMW VI engines at this point.
