A Soviet Douglas DC-3 in Berlin, opening a new service from Moscow after Hitler and Stalin smashed Poland. Some 21 original DC-3s were imported by the USSR. This airframe was lost during a 'special mission' in August 1941 and the URSS-B mark was re-used by c/n 2035 according to the Soviet Transports bible. The 'URSS' register was for aircraft flying abroad. Photo from: Nationaal Archief (Netherlands) This photo was added on 8 December 2020, and has since been viewed 1493 times. |
