Originally delivered to the USN as 139665 but then passed on to the SVNAF. Shortly before the fall of Saigon it was flown to U Taphao AB, Thailand and then abandoned. In 1979 it was transported by ship to the US and restoration begun in 2008. This process revealed traces of the original 'Lieutenant America' as well as 'Sharon's Satyr' noseart.

Built in 01.45 for USAAF as C-54D 42-72442 and here painted thus in 1992. To RAF in 02.45 as KL977 and flown by 232 Squadron on regular Ceylon-Australia flights. Returned to USA in 1946 and allotted to US Navy as 91994. Stored at Davis Monthan 07.70. Bought by Aero Union and became N76AU in 01.76. Used as tanker until sold to Aero Flite in 10.01. Operational in 02.18 as N3054V with Alaska Air Fuel at age 73. Sadly, this aircraft, with its two crew, was lost in a crash immediately after take-off from Fairbanks, Alaska on 23 April 2024. By then, it was the last DC-4 flying commercially in the USA.

Built in 1965, Spooky was probably never really a military O-2, but she was pitted against a MiG-15 here at Pardubice.

All the way from WA for the RAAF 90th Anniversary Air Pilgrimage. This Stearman was virtually brand new on the Australian Register, having only been registered VH-URC(2) on 19 January 2011. Built to a 1941 USAAF order and allocated serial 41-8275, post-war it was civilianised as N58403.

The world's only airworthy Merlin-powered P-40F at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's National Fly-in. Built to a 1941 USAAC order as 41-14112. Shipped to the Pacific. Based at Efate with 44 FS/18 FG & named 'Bonecrusher'. Force-landed on Erromango 20 Dec 42 on a training flight. Recovered Nov 89 & shipped to Australia. Acquired by Judy Pay 1990 & restored. Reg'd VH-HWK 30 Jul 96. First engine runs Aug 07, first flight Apr 09.

Not very often nowadays is one lucky enough to see a B-17 flying. The dark background is from smoke caused by the (simulated) bomb explosions.....made for great theatre at the Wings Over Houston airshow.

Built for the USAAF as 49-3203. Delivered to the Paraguay Air Force as FAP0147 and withdrawn from use in 1982. Recovered to the USA in 1991 and registered N3172M. Exported to Australia for restoration in 1994 and registered VH-WHF(2) on 16 December 1997 - first flew that year. Seen here at WOI 16.

Originally built as an L-19A-CE at Cessna's Pawnee plant, cn 21546, to a 1951 order as 51-11976, this aircraft saw service with the US Army, then the USAF in Vietnam, then the South Vietnamese Air Force. Recovered from Vietnam by the late Col Pay & associates. Acquired and restored to its accurate Vietnam war colour scheme as flown by Maj James Kidder & Lt Col Charles Morrison with 19th TASS by Randal MacFarlane at Archerfield, it was first registered as VH-XVB on 7 May 1992.

Owned by Hawkins and Powers in 1998, this aircraft was once used by TWA to ferry spare engines around Europe. On display at the Hagerstown Aviation Museum in 2018.

VH-XUS was sold in New Zealand as ZK-XUS in February 1994. The "serial" painted on the fin is in fact its c/n.
