This B-25 was delivered to the USAAF as 43-28204 and subsequently retired to MASDC at DM. She was rescued from the desert and converted to a tanker as well as featuring in the filming of 'Catch-22' and 'Pearl Harbour' but now flies as 'Pacific Princess'.

This aircraft was new on the European airshow circuit. It later became G-THUN but was sold in the USA in 2007

'Just Dreamin' glinting in the early morning sun, ready for the Narromine Airshow. This aircraft is former USAF 51-7576 and Laotian Air Force 3401.

This aircraft was manufactured too late to see action in WWII but is painted as 'Tallahassie Lassie', a P-47 flown by Seattle-born Colonel Ralph C. Jenkins who led the 510th FS through Europe after D-Day. She now belongs to the Flying Heritage Collection at Paine Field. Note the nose art is on the port side only.

This aircraft was ordered in 1951 by the USAF, one of more than two thousand Texans rebuilt from earlier AT-6 and SNJ models. It was allocated a new cn and the serial 51-15202. It found its way to the Italian AF as MM53652, and was retired in 1979. In 1981 bought and shipped to the UK and stored until 1986 when shipped to Australia. Registration VH-ITN was reserved whilst a restoration project, but it was registered VH-YVI on 2 February 2001. It's first post-restoration flight was not until early 2011.

According to what's painted on the side of this Stearman, it is a PT-17. However, according to its cn it was built as a PT-18 Kaydet with a Jacobs engine to a 1940 USAAC order and allocated the military serial 40-1971. It was first registered in Australia on 25 May 1998 and is currently operated by Nigel Arnot out of Brisbane. Seen here at the Wide Bay International Airshow.

This Kinner-powered PT-22 is a long-time resident at Tyabb and has been regularly seen at airshows and fly-ins throughout south-eastern Australia since it was imported in 1986.

Doug Hamilton's beautiful Electra Junior is masquerading as a USAAF C-40 for the Angelina Jolie-directed movie 'Unbroken'. Seen at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's 40th Anniversary Fly-in.

This Jug was delivered in 1953 to the Brasilian AF as 4175. After being SOC in 1958 she was stored and put on static display until being transported to Rialto, CA and subsequently restored to flying condition between 1996-99. Now part of the Tennessee Museum of Aviation collection and painted as 'Hun Hunter XVI', flown by Gil O. Wymond of the 57th FG, 65th FS in WWII

'Huff n'Puff', gear coming up & off on another joyride at another Wide Bay International Airshow. Built to a 1951 USAF order as 51-3722. Converted to AT-28D standard and to R. Thai AF 1965-75. Also operated by Air America in Laos. To Philippine AF 1976-87. Civilianised and based Manila as RP-R280 1988 for restoration using parts from 51-3782. To Brisbane 1990 & restoration - ff 5 Aug 2001.

Originally delivered to the USN as 139665 but then passed on to the SVNAF. Shortly before the fall of Saigon it was flown to U Taphao AB, Thailand and then abandoned. In 1979 it was transported by ship to the US and restoration begun in 2008. This process revealed traces of the original 'Lieutenant America' as well as 'Sharon's Satyr' noseart.

Built in 01.45 for USAAF as C-54D 42-72442 and here painted thus in 1992. To RAF in 02.45 as KL977 and flown by 232 Squadron on regular Ceylon-Australia flights. Returned to USA in 1946 and allotted to US Navy as 91994. Stored at Davis Monthan 07.70. Bought by Aero Union and became N76AU in 01.76. Used as tanker until sold to Aero Flite in 10.01. Operational in 02.18 as N3054V with Alaska Air Fuel at age 73. Sadly, this aircraft, with its two crew, was lost in a crash immediately after take-off from Fairbanks, Alaska on 23 April 2024. By then, it was the last DC-4 flying commercially in the USA.
