The only example of a Macchi M7 preserved in the world, the type was developed in Italy during WW I and used for naval operations. After the war, in 1921, four used examples were delivered to Sweden and served near Linköping from lake Roxen en near Karlsborg from lake Vättern. They were kept in tent hangars, which resulted in the wooden hull never being fully dry. Rot arose and all four were disposed in 1923-1924. It was formerly put on display as 945, but this serial proved to be false.

The excellent Flygvapenmuseum in Malmen has this J22, of only three complete survivors of the FFVS J22s in its collection. The FFVS J22 was a Swedish single-engine fighter aircraft developed for the Swedish Air Force during World War II. It was accepted into service on 26 May 1945, and is known to have served with F8 and F3, the latter's markings it still wears when this picture was taken in August 2019.

Delivered to the USAAF as C-69 42-94549 in 1945. To Transcontinental and Western Air as N90831 in 1948 who were renamed to Trand World Airlins in 1950. To other operators from 1961. To the museum in 1971 and preserved in Trans World Airlines colours.

Built for the USAAF as 43-11727. To the Honduras Air Force as 400 in 1948. Sold as N9003R in 1960 and stored at Phoenix, AZ. To the museum in 1975. Painted in Soviet Air Force colours. Repainted into USAAF colours and moved inside hangar 4 by 1997

First flown as PH-ZBR in June 1978. To Royal Swazi National Airways in July 1978 where it remained until August 2002 by which time Royal Swazi had become Airlink Swaziland. To African Business and Transportation in August 2002, parked 2004. Registered ZS-PNL with Foster Aero. Broken up at Lanseria by 2011. This airframe was caught in the crossfire twice. First during 'Mad' Mike Hoare's attempt to overthrow the Seychellois president in November 1981 when the mercenaries flew to the island on the aircraft and it ended in a fire fight. The second time was a hijack incident on a flight from Maputo to Maseru. The aircraft was repaired both times. Photographer unknown
