Picture taken during a ceremony to conclude the last repetition course of Fliegerstaffel 2 & Fliegerkompanie 15 operating Hunters out of Ulrichen, after which the airfield was closed to jet traffic. J-4119 was built in 1955 and served with the RAF until 1970 (serialled WV380). After refurbishment by Hawker Siddeley, it was part of an 1971 order of 30 second hand Hunter Mk58As for the Swiss AF, to supplement the 100 new aircraft bought back in 1958. Two more orders for 2nd hand a/c followed: one in 1973 for 22 single and finally one in 1974 for eight dual seat Hunters (TMk68).

Delivered JAT-Yugoslav Airlines in March 1975. Wfu in May 1992 because of sanctions. Stored Belgrade. Scrapped in 2004.

Delivered new to Continental Airlines in August '64.(N17321). In May '73 to China Airlines (B-1832). Returned to lessor in June 1985. In February 1986 over to DAS Air Cargo. Crashed on approach to Kano, Nigeria during sandstorm on 25 November 1992.

Delivered new to KLM in September 1989. Returned to lessor in March 2009, for storage and scrap at Goodyear (AZ).

ex Maersk Air (OY-MBE). Over to London City Airways in May 1989. That became Brymon Airways in April 1990. Merged into BMA-British Midland Airways in April 1991. Returned to lessor in June 1992.

The late-afternoon sun provides for a nice, soft light on this former Jamaican Defence Force Twin Otter (ex JDF-T1) as it taxies calmly to the floating wooden piers in Vancouver's harbour. The aircraft was owned by Kenn Borek Air, and leased to Harbour Air. It still flies with Kenn Borek today, as C-GTKB.

This B737 (one of the old and noisy kind, now almost extinct) was acquired by American through their take-over of AirCal in 1987. It was withdrawn from use a year after this photo was taken, and then spent some years in Mexico, before ending up with an airline in Peru in 1998. It was acquired by the Peruvian Air Force in 2005, but by 2014 they had abandoned it in a boneyard at Lima-Callao.
