It was the ultimate -1 variant that saw many improvements, including the addition of a 160 gal. jettisonable centreline tank and the carrying of two 1,000lb bombs or 154 gal. drop tanks or napalm on stub-wing pylons. The aircraft is painted in the markings of Lt. Timmy Gile, 8-victory ace of VF-17 "Jolly Rogers."
