This Speedwing was built in 1928 and flown as a barnstormer then, for a short time, was used for civilian pilot training at Perdue University. It was stored from 1941 to 1974, then made its post restoration debut in 1976 at Oshkosh and opened every annual EAA show at Oshkosh until 1980. Subsequently, the aircraft went through a number of hands before ending up in Canada where, after a minor landing accident, it was put into storage before being purchased and brought to the UK. It remained in storage until refurbishment started in late 2017 and it came to the Shuttleworth Collection in 2020.

The Air Navigation and Engineering Co Ltd based at Addlestone in Surrey was successor to the wartime Blériot and Spad Manufacturing Co. In 1923 their chief designer developed the ANEC I, an ultra-light monoplane that gained a generally favourable official appraisal but many deficiencies warranted the certification of an improved ANEC II, which was registered G-EBJO in 1924 and went on to be based at Old Warden until January 1935. The registration was cancelled in 1937, with the aircraft stored at Old Warden until a later restoration to flying condition took place.

The Hawker Engineering Company produced only two examples of this remarkable ultralight aircraft with the prototype, G-EBMB, on display at the RAF Museum Cosford. This replica was built in 1993 to the original specifications and registered G-CAMM in honour of the, (later to be) famous, designer Sidney Camm. Despite its frail appearance it performs well, even in winds that keep other early lightweight designs firmly on the ground. Ownership of the aircraft was transferred to the Shuttleworth Collection in early 2009.

The service career of this plane as V1075 ended in November 1940, when it was stored at No.51 MU at Lichfield and finally sold in December 1947. It was then registered G-AKPF and had a mixed career as a flying school aircraft with its logbook suggesting it was damaged and rebuilt a number of times. A post-restoration flight took place in July 1990 but several years of storage followed with the aircraft coming to Old Warden in 2001. Work since carried out has included restoring plane to the correct identity of the fuselage used in a rebuild after a substantial crash in May 1955.

This Tiger Moth was built by Morris Motors at Cowley, Oxford in 1944 and flew as T6818 in RAF service. Little is known of its WWII service but post-war it was registered G-ANKT. The plane was acquired by the Collection in 1966 and was rebuilt by two former engineering apprentices at Old Warden, using parts from two other Tiger Moths. Recently it has been completely overhauled and re-covered and is now finished as K2585 (actually painted as K-2585) in the colours of the RAF Central Flying School Aerobatic Team.

The Magister was built in 1939 and entered service with the RAF as P6382. However, when acquired by the Collection in 1971 it carried the fake registration G-AJDR. The logbook revealed an earlier change of fuselage to that of P6382, which had never borne a civil registration so it has now been registered G-AJRS. The plane was restored to flying condition by Shuttleworth apprentices using components from three other specimens.

This was the last production Gladiator I built in 1937 but not actually assembled as L8032 until 1938. It became G-AMRK around the early-1950s and went on to wear 72 Sqn markings with the fictitious serial K8032. In 1990 the plane was painted into a 247 Sqn camouflage scheme, which remained until the fabric had to be replaced in 1996 and it then acquired Norwegian colours for filming. In 2007, it was given the 73 Sqn colour scheme of K7985.

This Monoplane was built in 1912 but placed into storage two years later. It was rediscovered in 1937 by chance, when it found at the back of a barn concealed by hay. It was acquired by Richard Shuttleworth for restoration, which was completed in 1949. Weather permitting, it continues to fly at Shuttleworth Collection events and is the oldest airworthy aircraft of British origin anywhere in the world.

This faithful replica was first based at EGTH in the late 1990s but incurred substantial damage after a landing mishap in July 2000. After lengthy repairs the plane returned to the air in May 2015. Note, this registration was originally allocated to a Dove that was sold abroad in May 1919.

Z7015 was built in Canada and first flew in January 1941. In England it was designated for conversion to Sea Hurricane 1B standard and, after a period of unservability, was delivered in December 1942 to the Naval Fighter School (759) Sqn. at HMS Heron (RNAS Yeovilton), and by autumn 1942 was used as a ground instruction trainer at Loughborough College. In 1961 an attempt to make it airworthy for the Battle of Britain film proved too difficult. Instead the task was taken on by the Shuttleworth Collection and the IWM with the first post-restoration flight taking place in September 1995.

This AV-36 was built in France by Wassmer in 1955. It was imported to England in 1972 and had last flown in 1975, It then languished in a barn for nearly 40 years before being donated to Shuttleworth Collection, and then completely restored at Wycombe Air Park (Booker) (EGTB) in 2014.
