Z7015 was built in Canada and first flew in January 1941. In England it was designated for conversion to Sea Hurricane 1B standard and, after a period of unservability, was delivered in December 1942 to the Naval Fighter School (759) Sqn. at HMS Heron (RNAS Yeovilton), and by autumn 1942 was used as a ground instruction trainer at Loughborough College. In 1961 an attempt to make it airworthy for the Battle of Britain film proved too difficult. Instead the task was taken on by the Shuttleworth Collection and the IWM with the first post-restoration flight taking place in September 1995. This photo is copyright © Alastair T.
