This DHC-2 Beaver was delivered to the US Army in May 1955 as 54-1674. Purchased in January 1976 at a surplus sale by Mike Hackman of Edmonton, AB and C-GRAS in March 1976. Operated in Canada until March 1994 when it was registered to Kenmore Air Harbour as N378BD and subsequently registered to CDS Aircraft Inc., Bellevue, Seattle, WA in July 1994 and carries the name "Kawak Ena" on the rear cabin door. Probably one of a large number of privately-owned DHC-2 Beavers seaplanes base at airports and lakefront properties in the greater Seattle area.

This Beaver was delivered by DHC to the US Army in March 1958 as 57-2562. Sold to the civil market as N64390 in 1973. Tyee Airways of Sechelt, BC imported it to Canada in about April 1973. It's been flying commercially on the British Columbia coast for 49 years with Tyee, Air Rainbow, Island Hopper & Tofino Airlines. Registered to Silver Mountain Commercial Distributors in Feb 2014 which flies as "Gulf Island Seaplanes." Their main operating base is at Silva Bay on the southeast end of Gabriola Island, east of Nanaimo. They also operate DHC-2 Beaver C-FOCN and Cessna 208 Caravan C-GIPX.

DHC-2 Beaver CF-OSP has been flying on the west coast of British Columbia since at least 1970 when it was first registered to West Coast Air Services Ltd. (WCAS) at CYVR. In the early years it primarily flew charters to in support of the coastal logging industry and coastal communities. WCAS repainted C-FOSP in this attractive colour scheme between June 1975 and July 1976. In was photographed at the West Coast Air dock in Vancouver Harbour shortly before WCAS was merged into AirBC. It rejoined the Harbour Air fleet in January 2019 after six years with Inland Air Charter in Prince Rupert, BC.

Watson Lake Flying Services DHC-2 Beaver, CF-IBP, was photographed while visiting the Altin, BC waterfront in June 1980. The aircraft was delivered new to B.C. Air Lines in March 1955 and was acquired by Watson Lake Flying Services in Dec. 1967. It crashed 60 miles SW of Watson Lake, BC on Sep 22, 1996. 1 killed. wreck status unknown. The historic gold mining town Atlin is on the east side of Atlin Lake, 92 miles SE of Whitehorse Airport. In the 1920s is became an exotic tourist destination only accessible by boat and later bush plane until the first road was built to the Yukon in 1950-1951.

Registered N5317G circa 1975, the aircraft was with Willow Air Service when it crashed just west of the summit of Merrill Pass, AK on Sep 26, 1985 in poor weather. The wreck was registered to Lake Union Air Service in February 1989 as it was rebuilt. Re-registered N21LU, the floatplane written of when the wing struck a moored tug boat as it abandoned a take off on June 2, 1991. Rebuilt again, it flew with Northwest Seaplanes as N67683 until moving to Alaska as N726P in 1999.
