Initially with the RAF as MK732 / OU-Q (hence the civil registration), and transferred to the Netherlands AF in June 1948 as H-25. Coded 3W-17 with 322 Sqn in the early 1950s, withdrawn from use in June 1954 and used as a decoy at Eindhoven. Returned to the RAF in 1956 with maintenance serial 8633M. Displayed at various locations and later stored until donated to Holland in 1983. Ten years later if flew again, as G-HVDM (Harry van der Meer), in its original Dutch markings as H-25. Became PH-OUQ in 2000, retaining its original markings, but now as 3W-17, seen here.

When SOC from the RAF, this Spitfire was returned to Vickers Supermarine, converted to a two seat type 509 and delivered to the Irish Air Corps. Sold in 1968 to be used in the film "Battle of Britain" before coming to Canada in 1970. The owner later converted it to a single seater by fairing over the rear cockpit. Sold to the USA in 1975 and later re-converted back to a two seater.
