Built as a F-4J, this Phantom was delivered in the early 70s to the US Navy and started to serve VF-154. It was transferred to Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) FOUR in '76 just after it was converted to F-4S. The Spook served as the prototype for the F-4S from Jul'77. It was later transferred to VMFA-321 and returned to VX-4 in the famous Vandy One colours (as pictured). By early '92 it was modified to QF-4S and was temporarly stored at Cherry Point up to Aug'99 and was transferred to VX-30. It was struck of charge on 17 Aug'04 and was last seen as stored at Fallon in late 2006.

163225 was delivered to the US Navy in July 1986, it was later redesignated from F-14A+ to F-14B. The Cat VF-24 (as pictured), VF-101, VF-103, VF-102, was modified to F-14B(U) by October 2000 and ended its operational career with VF-102. It was then transferred to FRS VF-101 and withdrawn from use at Oceana in early 2004. The F-14B(U) was most probably scrapped by early August 2004.

Leaving the "Ext-ROAR-dinary NATO Tigermeet" without its buddy 4605, that went tech and was pulled off the flightline to get fixed. The right wing tiger tank had home base 'Schleswig' written on it. The Tornado afterburner colours are still magnificent.
