Not officially on the UK register at this time. It's only identity was BAPC.2 but this was not worn. In 1981 the CAA insisted on all Shuttleworth aircraft having UK civil registrations and the unused "period" registration G-ASPP was allocated in October 1981 as being appropriate to the year in which the aeroplane was built (1964).

Three C-46s in any one place is pretty special but when they are Chinese Air Force that makes it even more so. These were one of the first displays to be seen when entering the museum in 1991, sadly, none at the time had visible serials. One, since identified as 36044 has moved on to the China Civil Aviiation Museum while the other two, both of which remain unidentified remain at Datangshan.

Ex ZS-ATL, and preserved at the SAAF museum in SAAF markings without serial since 1983. This aircraft never flew for the SAAF. It was delivered to the South African government in Aug 1941 as ZS-ATL, and served as a VIP aircraft for General Jan C. Smuts during WW2. Was transferred to South African Airways circa 1946, still as ZS-ATL. Sold to Commercial Airways (later Comair) in Dec 1955. The Lodestar's last flight was on 25 Nov 1968, and donated to the SAA Technical School at Johannesburg in 1974 for instructional use. Transferred to the SAAF Museum on 20 Apr 1983.

The one and only Silver Wings was built by George Mackenzie of Pella, Victoria about 1921. After some testing and an accident at Pella, further testing took place at Belmont Common in 1926. The Silver Wings was supposed to be registered in May 1926 but that did not occur. The propeller is displayed at the Nhill Aviation Heritage Centre, not far from Pella. The Renault engine, built by Kelly & Lewis, is with the Australian National Aviation Museum collection in Melbourne. Photo from: State Library of Victoria
