Built as a DC-3-277B for AA, NC25658. Other regns include N25658 and N922CA.

Served with USAAF as a C-53D-DO, 42-68710. Used for dropping parachutists at air shows.

University of Florida Athletic Department. Delivered to United as a DST on July 9, 1937 as NC18103. Used by USAAF and returned to United as DC-3A in 1944. Became N287SE with South East, and then Central Airlines before being sold in 1967. The "Fighting Gators" livery uses some patterns of the old North Central colors.

Built as a DC-3-277D for American Airlines, NC33656. Later converted to DC-3A.

In the run-up block for 27L , this DC-3 is ex USAAF 42-47375, a C-53-DO. Post war it flew for Pan Am as NC15582, Sahsa as XH-SAD, and Lake Central as N21712.

A historic DC-3, which had been in servicefor more than 45 years when this picture was taken. It was delivered new in May, 1940 to American Overseas Airways.

Recently withdrawn from service when this pix was taken. Built as a DC-3-277, and flew with AA as NC17340. Sold to Ozark and converted to DC-3A, first N17340 then N131D.

Delivered new to Eastern as NC18121. Was impressed into service during WW2 as a C-49G.

C-47A 42-100813 passed through the Reconstruction Finance Corp (RFC) in 1945. Registered NC51793, it would be bought by Canadian Pacific Airlines July 23, 1946 and registered CF-CRX. It would be the airline's last piston airliner, in later years being used for pilot training and special events until sold October 23, 1974. Here with Harrison Airways, but still in basic CP Air colors. Later christened "Tweedsmuir", it went to Futura Aviation in 1979 before exported to the USA. As N950HA, it's been withdrawn from use since 1985, presumed scrapped when the registration was cancelled in 2011.

Built as USAAF 41-20094, a C-53-DO. Transferred to the USN as an R4D-3, BuNo 05074. When this photo was taken Shawnee was operating as a subsidiary of Florida Airlines.

Built for USAAF as C-53 42-47375 serving in Africa and Caribbean. Civilianised in February 1945. This was the only aircraft in the Florida Airways International fleet, operated by for a short period in 1973/74.

Built as a C-53D 42-68847 but delivered direct to Panagra in September 1943. From the airline 60 years ago.

Built for Pan Am as NC25641 in May 1940, but quickly passed on to their affiliate Compania Mexicana de Aviacion S.A. This image taken in 1941 in front a a vintage hangar with radio station and/or control tower above. Obtained from CMA over 50 years ago.

Built in June 1942 for USAAF as C-53 Skytrooper 42-47375 with small passenger door. To Pan Am as NC15582 in February 1945. Served Air Sunshine from November 1974 until August 1979.

Exported to Grand Cayman in May, 1979
