Pacific Western Airlines has prepared this former Northwest Airlines 707 they had operated since 1973 for delivery to Abelag Airways of Belgium (OO-ABA). While the airliner returned to Canada on lease to Ontario Worldair (C-GRYO) during that airline's existence from December 1979 to December 1980, it would spend most of its remaining time flying in Africa. Last flight was April 29, 1992 when on a test flight, GAS General Air Services unintentionally landed it with the gear up at Ilorin, Nigeria.
N1022K ended up as a fuselage sitting at Kortrijk-Wevelgem airport in Belgium. Its journey from Micronesia is not clear but it is believed to have been on the Philippines register at one stage. Photographer's name not known.
