Delivered to Wustern Air Lines as L-188A N9745C in 1961. Converted to an L-188A(F) freighter in 1969. To International Jetair as CF-IJC then back to Western Air Lines as N9745C in 1971. To Nordic Air as LN-MOD in 1972 then to Fred Olsen as LN-FOG in 1973 and Atlantic Airlines as G-LOFD in 1997. To Conair as C-FYYJ in 2010 and converted to a fire bomber then to Buffalo Airways in 2023.

The full name of the operator of this Electra was the Emerald Shillelagh Chowder and Marching Society, which trades nowadays as the Shillelagh Travel Club in Fairfax, Virginia. One the Electra was retired in the mid-1980s, the club ceased operating its own aircraft and relied on scheduled flights instead.

LN-FOI was one of the three first FOF Electras, and became the only one to wear FOF colours the whole period it was operated by the airline from 1973 until the end in 1997. It is seen on final approach rwy 24 this Saturday morning in August 1989.
