There were five BAC 111s in UK Military service and XX105 was the first, taken on strength from BUA/Caledonian in September 1971. Originally G-ASJD, after a formation flypast with the other two remaining Air Force 111s in service, it was retired June 2003 at Boscombe Down.

The former G-ASJH is seen here after preparation for a new carrier in California, soon after the demise of Laker. Pacific Express intended to offer high frequency, low fare service in the LA-SFO corridor, but PSA objected as they used that name for their small package service. Flights were however operated to 22 cities in California and the Northwest, latterly as Pan Am Pacific Express, till bankruptcy in 2.84

Seen with the Airlink S61 shuttling in from Heathrow behind, the ninth 1-11 built was sold 10 months later as N105EX to Pacific Express

The first production BAC 111, originally delivered to British United Airways in October 1965 as G-ASJC. Sold in January 1970 and flown as an executive jet by Barwick Industries until sale as XB-MUO in April 1975.

Delivered to British United Airways, this 111 was with Pacific Express from February 1982 until they ceased operations two years later.

The fourth BAC 1-11 to be built, delivered to BUA in 11.65, was sold to Pacific Express as N101EX in 12.81. After service with Florida Express and Braniff, latterly as EI-BWI, wfu by BAF at Southend in early 1990 and b/u 1.94
