Delivered new to the Polish AF as 1602 in 1973 as per my 1990 photo and registered SP-LWC to LOT Cargo in June 1991. Changed to SP-KWC in November 1991 with Air Batory Cargo but returned to Polish AF in 1993 (my 1995 pic here), reverting to 1602 in 1996. Now preserved in its mid-green/dark green/khaki camo at the Wojska Polskiego museum in Warsaw.

Built for the Soviet AF in 1980 and based at Legnica in Poland. Similarly, I'd arrived aboard an An-26 from Poland, flying up to Prague from Krakow with the Polish AF. By 2009 had been recoded "03 red" and was operating as a laboratory aircraft with the Russian AF, last noted at Levashovo in 2015

This aircraft was restored in 1989, for the first meeting of 102 Gruppo. It was delivered to 5 Aerobrigata as 5-856 and concluded its career in Piacenza with 155 Gruppo of 50 Stormo as 50-13, when it was withdrawn from use in July 1972. The reason for the fake serial could be the availability of a good original photograph of aircraft 5-855 that was included in the commemorative book of the event, and that could have been used by the restoration team for painting.

This is F-84F-61-RE-50-10 53-6637 that made its final landing in Piacenza on 10 August 1970, in charge to 50 Stormo as 50-10. Stored in Castrette it received the tail or at least the fin from MM 53-6695 (36 Stormo badge and 156 Gruppo yellow arrows on the fin). It was then repainted with fake 69474 serial and 69-4 unit code, to be displayed in front of Labora's former hardware store, after some repositioning and change of mount. Labora moved to the industrial area of Santarcangelo di Romagna, and it was displayed in the inner parking of La Ferramenta, but visible from via della Gronda Est.

The last Douglas Skyshark (of 12 built) was saved from fire practice destruction by the Planes of Fame Museum. Displayed for years with a pointed nose replacing missing engines and props, it was sold to long time museum volunteer John Muszala in 1976. Mr. Muszala's warbird restoration company "Pacific Fighters" slowly replaced missing panels and a surprise finding of A2D propellers at a junkyard saw the aircraft take shape at Chino, Ca and Idaho Falls, ID when the company re-located in 1996. The restored aircraft is on display at the San Diego Air and Space Museum Annex at Gillespie Field.
