Delivered to the US Navy as J4F-2 Bu32958 in 1943. Civilianised as G-44 NC1069M in 1947. Reregistered as N1069M after 1948, N69T in 1953 and N86T in 1967. Converted to a Super Widgeon. To CF-KKF in 1958 then to N13122 and converted to a McKinnon Super Widgeon in 1967. To the Alaska Aviation Heritage Museum in 2002 and mainitained in airworthy condition.

US Navy Widgeon 37716 was delivered December 12, 1943. Struck off strength in May 1946 and sold as surplus. Registered N67586, it was converted by McKinnon - Hickman to a Continental powered Super Widgeon in 1955. The aircraft was flying in Canada between May 1973 - October 1980. Although it crashed in Alaska in 1983, the classic seaplane was rebuilt using parts from three other aircraft in 1989 and is current as N480AK based in Anchorage, AK at the time of uploading.

A new import registered just days before the photo date, it is ex N86611 which it has carried since manufacture in 1946. Here visiting from its Boundary Bay (CZBB) base.

This Widgeon was delivered in 1941 as NC28679. It had a varied career with the USAAF (as 42-38217) and in Africa, lastly as N3103Q, until withdrawn from use in the mid 1970s and stored at Malta. It was bought by Lawrence Usher in 1987 and restored at Ipswich, UK. He registered it as G-DUCK on 15 Nov 1988. In 1992 the aircraft was shipped to the Musée de l'Hydraviation and later placed on display, painted as seen here. The Widgeon has its original registration NC28679 painted at the top of the tail. This is a composite airframe, with the wings, engines and props probably coming from Super Widgeon N750M c/n 1341.

Grenold Collins was a pilot for a construction firm during WWII. After war's end he formed the Gren Collins Charter Airplane Service and Big Game Guide Service. In May 1948 he bought this Widgeon, BuNo 30151, from the Washington Fish & Oyster Co. for $12,000. It later became N79905 and N23456, still current as of 2020. Preserved in the NMNA. Sold by USCG postwar, flying with four civil registrations, latterly N212ST. before repurchase by the museum for exhibition in early WW2 markings.
