Coming back in from a local flight at the Antique Aeroplane Association of Australia's Auster Rally. This attractive homebuilt T-18 was first registered on 30 April 1986. In case you're wondering, in the background are Airservices Australia's HF communications antennas - HF still being important for aviation in outback Australia.

This aircraft suffered an accident at Ceduna, SA in 1960. The wreck went through several hands until acquired by the Museum of Victoria/NASMA in 1995, which eventually loaned it to Australia's Museum of Flight at Nowra, NSW in 2000. After a period of slow restoration and storage at Nowra it was transported to Albion Park for restoration by HARS in 2010.
