Silver dope shining in the late afternoon sun at the AAAA National Fly-in! This aircraft was built to an RAF order and became HG656. It was sent to New Zealand and became NZ527 with the RNZAF. After the war it was civilianised and became ZK-ALB and served with Mt Cook Airlines before being exported to Australia in 1971 to become VH-IAN, later VH-UTV.

This 1959 short-wing Piper was built as a Caribbean but has obviously been converted at some stage to Pacer standard. It was originally registered as N9826D until, briefly, being exported to the UK. It was registered G-BUBZ on 10 April 1992 but a little over a year later exported to Australia and de-registered on 18 June 1993. It must have undergone a restoration as it was not registered in Australia as VH-BRG(3) until 20 June 2002.
