World War II US Navy SNJ-2 bu 2562 was registered NC65370 in 1946. Bought by Stinis Air Service in 1963 for owner Andy Stinis' Skytyper style of skywriting. The aircraft has been Skytyping and attending air shows ever since.

When I took this slide this a/c had not yet received its final markings for the Wisconsin Air National Guard. It was acquired from the New York Air National Guard, where this F-86H spent its last active service, retiring in September 1965.

This is P-51D 44-63350 marked as 44-13410. At the time the slide was take it was owned by Mr. C. Greenhill, who owned the a/c from 1993 through 2007.

Built by Mr. B. Rogers in 1996. The fuselage was from a P-51D with a P-51H vertical fin installed. The wings and horizontal stabilizers were from a Learjet Model 23. The engine was a Griffith with contra rotating props. On 18 September 1999 at the Reno National Air Races during the first lap of the Unlimited Class final race it crashed, fatally injuring the pilot. The crash appeared to have been caused by flutter which caused separation of the empennage from the fuselage.

Built as USAAF P-51D 45-11540. Owned by Mr. J. Michaels of Oconomowoc, WI. when this slide was taken. This a/c is now based in Europe, but is still registered as N151W.

Built for USAAF as P-51D 44-72989, This P-51D was acquired from the 109 FS of the Minnesota ANG for display. It is marked as a P-51D of the 126 FS, Wisconsin ANG, based at Milwaukee in the 1950s.

Air Plains Services markets their 300 horsepower Cessna upgrade as the 180XP. The aircraft carries "Inpulse" advertising highlighting another FAA Approved Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) that enables the aircraft to utilize unleaded automotive fuel.

T-28 painted in it's VT-5 days assigned to NAAS Saufley Field, FL. Retired to MASDC in 1979 and struck off strength the aircraft was later registered N2141D. It was re-registered N28XC in 2001.

Originally constructed new for the Swiss Air Force as J-3023. Later returned to the U.S. and modified to a F-5N with US Navy Bureau Number 761548.

Originally built for USAF with s/n 61-0639. Retired on 3 September 1985, and transferred to Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville, WI. on 1 August 1989 with FAA registration N21092. The school closed in 2013, the FAA reg. was cancelled on 12 July 2013, and the a/c was sold off in May 2014. It was scrapped, but the cockpit nose section survived and was seen for sale on the internet.

Uncompleted sale to Honduran Air Force saw Corsair bu 97359 registered N5213V in 1959. Stored in Phoenix (1959) and Tucson AZ (1969), the aircraft was registered N97359 to fly in TV series "Ba Ba Black Sheep" 1976 - 78. Later it was based in Duxford, UK as N240CA during 1988 - 92 wearing New Zealand Navy markings. Pictured as bu 82050 which Lieutenant Thomas Hudner jr made a wheels-up landing behind enemy lines near Koto-Ri, North Korea in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue his wingman Ensign Jesse Brown on Dec 4, 1950. Lt. Hudner was rescued by helicopter and later awarded the Medal of Honor.
