Taken on strength in 1959 and re-serialled as 10732 after forces integration in 1970. Struck off strength in 1988 and became instructional airframe 783C. In storage at Aerospace Maintenance Development Unit, CFB Trenton, in 1995. Preserved at CFB Trenton and transferred to CFB Trenton RCAF Memorial Museum.

The type was withdrawn in 1981 and it was scrapped in 1982.

The Canadair CL28 (CP107) was a Canadian adaptation of the Bristol Britannia with four Wright R-3350 engines for long range anti-submarine patrol missions. A total of 33 were built and they flew for two decades with 5 squadrons (Nos. 404, 405, 407, 415, 449) from bases in Greenwood, NS, Summerside, PEI and Comox, BC. Argus 20717 (later 10717, but now painted as 107717) was accepted in June 1958 and spent most of its career based at Greenwood until retired in March 1980. Five Argus are displayed at museums (Ottawa, Trenton, Summerside, Greenwood & Comox) and a sixth stored by WCAM at Gimli, MB.

Delivered as 20736 in 1959. Renumbered as 10736 in 1970. Flew the last operational Argus sortie in 1981. Scrapped in 1982.

Taken on strength December 3, 1957 as 20713, this Argus was re-serialed in May 1970 during the unification of the Canadian military. Pictured with 407 maritime patrol squadron, the aircraft was struck off strength October 23, 1980 and later scrapped.

Increasingly in need of some TLC, this Argus is one of 20 Mk.IIs purchased by the RCAF in 1958 to follow on from 13 Mk.1s. It flew with 415 Maritime Patrol 'Swordfish' Sqdn at RCAF Summerside in Prince Edward Island, and carries the unit's distinctive swordfish marking on its tail. When the squadron was moved in 1988 to CFB Greenwood in Nova Scotia, the Argus was replaced by the Lockheed CP-140 Aurora.

The last Argus built by Canadair is pictured out back of the National Aeronautical Collection hangar (now Canada Aviation and Space Museum). The last operational Argus flight was flown November 10, 1980 and the type retired. This aircraft made the last flight of any Argus on February 10, 1982 when it was delivered to the Museum for display. Stored outside until moved into the museum's new hangar in 2005, it has undergone some restoration to repair the damage done by weather. The aircraft is back outside, partially cocooned at the time of uploading.
