This SA-3A Playboy was built over the course of just eleven months by Keith "Hoppy" Hopkinson of Goderich, Ontario in 1955. It was made from a kit designed by Ray Stits at Flabob Airport, California. Hopkinson made major modifications to the kit, using parts from a Piper J-3, a Cessna 170, a de Havilland Tiger Moth, a Cessna 140 and a Stinson 108. This Playboy was the first Canadian-built aircraft to be licensed under the Ultralight classification.

This Goose was manufactured by Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation in 1944, as part of a U.S. Navy contract. It was acquired by the RCAF that same year and used for light transport duties. It was transferred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in 1946. Its registration, CF-MPG, apparently stands for Mounted Police Goose. When it was retired in 1994, the Goose had been in continuous public service longer than any other Canadian civil aircraft.

This Silver Dart is an airworthy replica built by RCAF volunteers on the fiftieth anniversary of the original Silver Dart first powered flight on Canadian soil took which place on 23 February 1909. This aircraft was built in 1958 at No. 6 Repair Depot, RCAF at Trenton and was shipped to Baddeck on February 5, 1959. Wing Commander Paul A. Hartman flew this Silver Dart at Baddeck on the anniversary, but high, gusty winds caused it to crash (the pilot, fortunately, was unhurt). The aircraft was repaired and placed on display on the museum's opening day, October 25, 1960.

This Camel was manufactured by Hooper and Company Limited of London, England in late 1918. One of the last Camels to be produced, it was not completed in time to serve during the First World War. It was, however, used by the RAF until 1925, when it was transferred to Canada along with six other Ship Camels. The Camel was used by the RCAF for demonstration flights and as a training airframe.

This glider was designed in Canada in 1947 by Waclaw Czerwinski and Beverley Shenstone in response to British Gliding Association competition for a high-performance, two-seater sailplane. Two aiframes were built : one in the U.K. (begun in 1949 and first flight was in 1958) and second in Canada. Construction in Canada started in 1949 and finished in 1975. Between 1975 and 1977 over 30 flights were made, the longest being over three hours. The aircraft flew a total of 25 hours and 45 minutes.
