This magnificent amphibian arrived in the Netherlands in 1995, initially owned by Martin van Schie as C-FHHR, then N27311 and finally PH-PBY. It changed hands in May 2000, and following an extensive restoration this aircraft first flew again exactly a month before this photo was taken. It was painted in these Netherlands Navy colours three weeks later, and this photo shows its first public appearance as such. Unfortunately it suffered an engine failure on 21 April 2017, and was withdrawn from use. Repairs proved too expensive, and in 2018 it was decided to offer the aircraft for sale. It departed to the USA in May 2019.

This PBY has now been moved to a new outside hardstand at Cosford to free up space for the incoming arrivals from Hendon. It was completed in April 1945 at the new Consolidated Vultee Aircraft Corporation (Convair) factory at New Orleans for delivery to the USN as 63993. From Dec. 57 to Jul. 70 it served with the RDAF and is now on display at the RAF Museum.

A long smooth approach followed by a spectacular but non fatal collision with a marker buoy. This was one of two PBY Catalinas celebrating 75 years of US Naval Aviation with a recreation of a 1919 Atlantic crossing by USN Curtiss NC flying-boats. Owned by Robert Franks.

Started life in Sep 1942 as 08109 of the US Navy. Sold to the Danish Air Force in Sep 1951 as 82-857 "Munin", withdrawn from use on 14 October 1967 and stored at Værlose. Bought by Jens Larsen and transported to his farm near Plejerup, Denmark. Acquired by the museum in November 1989 in poor condition and beautifully restored and painted in Norwegian markings, as seen here.

There were a lot of other aircraft participating in 'Scottish Airshow 2014' apart from the Lancasters and Vulcan. The sight of this beautiful old Canso touching down in (seemingly) slow motion on rw30 is a lovely memory from a super weekend.

This Catalina was here at Glasgow to perform two flights at Greenock nearby as a commemoration of the end of WW2 60 years ago, many flying boats were based at Greenock during the War.

This Catalina served with the Brazilian AF in the Amazon Basin until 1981. In 1984 it was flown to the National Museum of the USAF for restoration and is now on display as 'Snafu Snatchers', an OA-10A assigned to the 2nd Emergency Rescue Squadron in the Pacific during WWII.

This fuselage was on previously on display at the Memorial Military Museum, Campbellford, Ontario before being acquired by the Canadian Warbird Heritage Museum in April 2010. It was delivered to the museum four months later.
