This aircraft, the last of 3,305 PBYs built between 1936 and 1955, was undergoing long-term restoration at the time of the photograph. This has since stalled and in April 2024 it was moved by road to Vintage Aircraft Restorations at Felts Field, Spokane, WA., where it is planned it will be restored to airworthy and seaworthy condition. Denmark bought a 1947-built a PBY-5A and this 1957-built PBY-6A to be operated by ESK 721 at Vaerlose AB for ice reconnaisance and SAR around Greenland. This plane flew with the United States Navy as 64035 and then 82-861 with the Danes before it became L-861.

Built for the US Navy as 64017. Sold as N2846D in 1962 and converted to a fire bomber. Reregistered as N5555H then to the Protection Civile as F-ZBAV in 1964. Sold as CF-HNH in 1973 then reregistered as C-FHNH in 1979. To Aces High as G-BPFY in 1988 then reregistered as N212DM in 1989, back to G-BPFY in 1990 then to N285RA in 1998. To the Israeli Air Force Museum, Hatzerim in 2004. Flew out of North Weald but landed at Beauvais due to an engine failure. Left by road in 2008 and shipped to Hatzerim. Preserved in Israeli Air Force colours as 3401.

(ex USN BuAer 46651) obtained in 1955 and registered TF-RAN (ex TF-FSD). The first aircraft operated by the Icelandic Coast Guard (ICG). The Icelandic Aviation Ministry originally bought it damaged from the US Navy on 17 September 1954, and registered it as TF-FSD. It was repaired by SAS in Copenhagen, and then given to the ICG on 10 December 1955, with the registration TF-RAN. It was used until 12 January 1963, and then parked until 1967, when it was tipped over by the wind, and later scrapped. The airframe was buried during the construction of Reykjavik airport in 1967. Used for maritime patrol and SAR.

Navy s/n 63998

This Catalina was delivered to the Colombian Air Force as FAC612 in 1946. It was struck of charge by the FAC in 1974, but it had already been stored at the Bogota-Madrid airbase for several years by then. A private Colombian pilot purchased the aircraft together with former FAC619 and restored the aircraft in airworthy condition using parts from FAC619 as well. From 2003 until 2017 the aircraft deteriorated at Villavicencio. In December 2017 the aircraft was shipped to Germany and currently is being restored to flying condition by its new owner in Oldenburg.

Ex Spanish air tanker acquired by the museum in 2008 and flown to Australia as VH-EAX in 2009. Displayed in a World War II livery as used on the "Double Sunrise" service from Australia to Sri Lanka (then Ceylon). The original G-AGIE (msn 808) was scuttled off Perth, Western Australia, in 1946. Qantas also operated PB-2B Catalina VH-EAX (msn 61148) from February 1948 to when it was wrecked in a storm in June 1949

Former US Navy 64002. Sold as N9548C in 1962. Reregistered as N331RS then sank in Lake Michigan after hitting a submerged object on landing in 1966. Wreck salvaged and moved to the Victory Air Museum in 1972. To the USAF Museum at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH for parts and scrapped after the Victory Air Museum closed in 1986.

Seen here after landing on Plymouth Sound, to celebrate the arrival of a US Navy Curtiss NC-TA flying boat NC-4 in Plymouth on 31 May 1919, and the 75th anniversary of US Naval aviation.

In storage at EMA. This aircraft had been used as a water bomber. To US Navy with BuNo 64017. To the US civil register and converted to a water bomber as N2846D then N5555H coded E87. In 1964 to France with the Securite Civile as F-ZBAV. To Avalon Aviation as CF-HNH in 1966 and leased to Haydn Air Charter (Norway) from 1978 until 1985. To the UK as G-BPFY on 23 Dec 88 with Aces High Ltd. To N212DM on 6 Jun 1989 then back to G-BPFY on 05 Mar 1990. To the US as N285RA on 19 Aug 1998. The registration was cancelled on 22 Mar 2006 and the aircraft was exported to Israel where it is currently on display at the Israeli Air Force Museum at Hatzerim Airport.

Subsequently sold in 2008 to the Israeli Air Force Museum for preservation in false IDF marks as 3401.
