K25 slide scan. Built for LAI as I-LIRA 1958. Not taken up but instead delivered to TWA as N8083H. Converted to freighter 1961. Alaska Airlines 1962, retired 1967. Converted to bulk fuel carrier 1968 for use on the North Slope by Red Dodge Aviation and Prudhoe Bay Oil Distribution, stored Anchorage 1972, Kenai 1974. Flown to CHandler, AZ 1981 and overhauled 1983. Used as drug runner, damaged in Colombia late 1983. Flown to San Pedro Sula 1983 and stored. Acquired by Maurice Roundy 1986 and flown to Auburn-Lewiston, ME. Acquired by Lufthansa Berlin Stiftung 2006 together with N974R and N7316C.

The "Super Constellation Bar & Restaurant" had long closed its doors and fell into neglect. This photo shows one final, failed attempt to revive it before being destroyed by fire on 30 January 1997.

Acquired by John Travolta 1984 as N494TW and stored at Tucson Ryan Field. Restored by Vern Raburn at Avra Valley 1991 in original USAF MATS colours, joining the airshow circuit. Acquired by United Technologies 2005 and donated to Koreanair. Flown to Aviation College at Cheju Island, displayed as HL4003 in Air Korea colours to resemble a L-1649 from the late 1960's.

Named for the Dutch city of Venlo, like KLM's first Constellation, PH-TAV. PH-TFF arrived in 1949. On 23 March 1952 this aircraft burnt at Bangkok - Don Muang after the number 3 engine caught fire and a propeller blade slashed into the fuselage in flight.
