Delivered to the US Army as H-25A 51-16621. To the Royal Canadian Navy in 1954 as an HUP-3 and retained its US serial. Used as a ground trainer at Vancouver marked as C-BVSD by 1980. To the Canadian Museum of Flight and Transportation in 1982 then to Classic Rotors Rare & Vintage Rotorcraft Museum, Ramona, CA in 2000 and registered as N7089F.

DHC-2 Beaver CF-OSP has been flying on the west coast of British Columbia since at least 1970 when it was first registered to West Coast Air Services Ltd. (WCAS) at CYVR. In the early years it primarily flew charters to in support of the coastal logging industry and coastal communities. WCAS repainted C-FOSP in this attractive colour scheme between June 1975 and July 1976. In was photographed at the West Coast Air dock in Vancouver Harbour shortly before WCAS was merged into AirBC. It rejoined the Harbour Air fleet in January 2019 after six years with Inland Air Charter in Prince Rupert, BC.

Watson Lake Flying Services DHC-2 Beaver, CF-IBP, was photographed while visiting the Altin, BC waterfront in June 1980. The aircraft was delivered new to B.C. Air Lines in March 1955 and was acquired by Watson Lake Flying Services in Dec. 1967. It crashed 60 miles SW of Watson Lake, BC on Sep 22, 1996. 1 killed. wreck status unknown. The historic gold mining town Atlin is on the east side of Atlin Lake, 92 miles SE of Whitehorse Airport. In the 1920s is became an exotic tourist destination only accessible by boat and later bush plane until the first road was built to the Yukon in 1950-1951.

Originally 26036 with the RCAF, this Tutor got new serial 114036 in 1971. The trainer was with the Snowbirds 1977 - 1989. By 1995 the Air Force withdrew it for controlled cannibalization. In 1999 the aircraft was made presentable and mounted on a pole as gate guardian at CFB Moose Jaw, SK with 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School markings.

North Cariboo's DC-3's registration would be cancelled in 1999, going to the USA. Deteriorating over the years, it's in the Basler Turbo yard at Oshkosh, WI still with North Cariboo titles as N68CW at the time of uploading.

Imported in 1976, Vanderhoof Flying Service had C-GIGV in their fleet 1989 - 95. Privately owned before and after until sold to Courtenay Flight Center in 2002, where it is current at the time of uploading.

First delivered to Air East as N147AE in 1971, this Beech 99 was acquired by fellow Allegheny Commuter airline Pennsylvania Commuter Airlines in 1975 as N151CA. Traded to Shorts USA (N431BC) in 1983 to buy Short SD3-60s, it flew with several commuters before coming to San Juan Airlines 1987 - 89 as N805BA. The aircraft is flying with Ameriflite with the same registration at the time of uploading.

AirWest took delivery of three yellow-painted Turbo Beavers on wheels in late 1977 that had recently been retired by Province of Ontario, Ministry of Natural Resources (C-FOEM, C-FOEX and C-FOEY). The aircraft were outfitted with floats and repainted in AirWest colours in 1978 for use on charter and scheduled flights from Vancouver Airport and Harbour. C-FOEX was photographed at the AirWest seaplane dock in the Coal Harbour area of Vancouver Harbour in March 1979. C-FOEX was delivered new in 1967. In 2022, it was flying with Kabeelo Airways Ltd., Ear Falls, ON.

On arrival from Vancouver as "Air North (ANT) 537". ANU was in heavy maintenance for the last little while so it's nice to see her back in service.

Arriving from Calgary as AC213 is the first 737-8 MAX to join the Air Canada fleet just over five years ago. Hard to believe it has been that long.

After a brief snowfall and subsequent de-icing delay, WS220 gets underway for Calgary. The green spray off the wings and tail is excess Type IV de-ice fluid.

"Fiji (FJI) 880 Heavy" on arrival this afternoon from the South Pacific. My first catch of their scheduled service after it started up last Friday. Nice to see them send their sole A330-300 as well.

Arriving as F81889 from Los Angeles (LAX) this afternoon. Back in October, Flair decided to end service to Burbank and switch to serving LAX.

The 2nd to last Q400 service for YYJ on arrival as 'Horizon (QXE) 2554" from Seattle. It subsequently cancelled at YYJ and ferried out later in the evening back to Seattle due to a mechanical issue.
