Delivered to the USAF as SA-16B 51-7249 in 1953 and stored at Davis-Monthan. Transferred to the USCG as UF-1G 7249 in 1958. Converted to a UF-2G in 1960. Redesignated as an HU-16E in 1962. To N1043N, converted to a G-111 then to N248S in 1979. To N121FB in 1982. Still current on the register in 2021.

Arrived at the museum from MASDC storage in November 1981. By 1987 it had been painted in fake USAF markings, but in 2000/2001 this was changed into the authentic USCG markings seen here.

Constructed as a HU-16D and served with the US Navy as 148327. Later to the Japanese Marine Self Defence Force as 9054. Became N115Fb in December 1977. To various owners and ended up Falcon field between 1996 and 2005. Seen there in 2018.

Being converted to a G-111 for Chalks at the Grumman facilty. Former USAF 51-7243 and USCG 7243. To N1048G in 1979 and to N120FB in 1982. Crashed in 2009.

Registration N7049D reserved but aircraft was still in a contractor's yard at Davis-Monthan in 2000.

Ex-US Coast Guard 7245 and US Air Force 51-7245. 1998 placed on display with Pacific Coast Air Museum, Santa Rosa, CA as 7245 by US Coast Guard.

Ordered by the USAF as HU-16B 60-9304 for delivery to the RCAF as 9304 in 1960. To N9380 in 1971. Converted to a G-111 for Chalks as N118FB in 1982. Stored at Marana from 1987 to 2018 when Barron Aviation moved it out.

In faded US Navy colours (ex Bu131892), but with all military markings and serials painted out. This Albatross was based at Carson City since at least 1998, but hadn't flown in years.

Stored here in very faded USAF markings (ex 51-067) since about 1991. Remnants of serial "0-10067" and of the registration still visible on the tail and fuselage.

Obviously suffered a mishap in the #2 engine...

While in service with the USAF, this Albatross was loaned to Pan Am in 1969. It operated a weekly service as PA163 from Mombasa, Kenya to a satellite tracking station at Mahe, Seychelles, on a joint contract with the Philco Radio Corp. and the US government. It flew in bare metal as "0-17163", with a Pan Am logo on the nose. It was withdrawn from use on 3 Nov 1971, and stored at Long Beach, CA. It became N70725 in Sep 1977, and in 1987 it was restored to flying condition and flown to the Castle Air Museum, where it was restored in the markings seen here. The Albatross was first noted on display as such in Nov 1988.
