Taxiing out for a short test flight to Abbotsford and back this morning as "N246QT". This BAE 146-300QT has been here since October 2023, presumably undergoing modifications at Canada West Avionics. Still painted in the colours of its former operator, JOTA Aviation. It later departed on delivery to Everts Air Cargo in Fairbanks via Whitehorse.

Flew with a number of Canadian West Coast operators over the years, for example previously with Waglisla Airlines in the same colour scheme.

Imported new in 1966 and by this date it had been based here for 30 years. Not surprisingly, considering the algae build-up, its C of R was cancelled in 2023.

Imported new in 1967 and Prince George (CYXS) based in 2023, hopefully being kept in better condition.

First with the Royal Canadian Air Force 1940 - 44, this Finch was exported to Mexico as XB-TUJ after World War II. Later to the USA, it returned to Canada in the 70s for a restoration and was donated to the Canadian Museum of Flight.

Entered service in May 1949 with Central British Columbia Airways. Seen here at Boundary Bay, looking immaculate after a rebuild while registered to Ken G Roberts of Vancouver. Became N777DH in 2000, the following year.

Entered service in 1977 as CCCP-40862, then became UR-40862 before being sold on in 1995 and re-registered SP-FLV. Acquired by a Vancouver private owner in 1999 as N122AN. Aircraft written off in April 2011 near Loxley, Alabama. Suffered engine failure during a long cross-country flight, and incurred substantial damage as a result of nosing over in soft terrain during the subsequent forced landing.

At one time somebody thought highly enough of this 1965 built Skyhawk to give it an intricate custom paint scheme, but by this date it is sitting neglected with moss growing on the aft fuselage. The story has a happy ending as it changed hands in October 2021 and was then exported to the USA, taking up its original registration N7980U.

Originally delivered to the USAF as 49-074 in 1950. Transferred to the Brazilian Air Force in 1958 as 6530. Withdrawn in 1980 and sold in 1984, Registered as PP-ZAS in 1991. Became N97HU in 1994, and ferried to Canada for restoration in March 1996. First post-restoration flight in early 1997. Sold in Mexico in 2004 as XB-JHH. On 10 August of that year forced down by the Mexican authorities on a suspected drug-running flight. Beached and abandoned on the Mexican coast at Playa de la Ventanilla, near Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. Subsequent to the removal of its engines, the airframe was left derelict and over the years sank slowly into the sand.
