Delivered new to the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1960 as 9406. Military service included deployment to Lahore, Pakistan in 1965 to support a United Nations operation supervising a cease-fire between Pakistan and India, returning to Canada in 1966. Began civilian life in 1982. When a sale to Colombia fell through, registered to Fort Frances Sportsmen Airways, a company associated with Northern Wilderness Outfitters, in 1984. After substantial damage in a takeoff accident in strong, gusty and variable wind conditions in 1998, rebuilt as a Vazar turbine conversion and re-entered service in 2000.

Lit by a late summer's evening sun as it returns to its Anchorage base. Approaching to land across Lake Hood. Joined Rust's Flying Service only months earlier, in March 1990. Converted to turbine power in 2000.

Only recently arrived for storage on 02 Oct 1978 at MASDC with inventory number 5U0001. It later went onto the civilian register as N0137G and N219JH. Later Converted to a Vazar Dash 3 Turbine Otter with a PT-6 engine and registered C-GCQA on 03 Mar 1998 with North Star Air. It was cancelled from the register on 06 Mar 2012.

Delivered to the Ontario Department of Lands & Forests in May 1953 and operated by the Ontario Provincial Air Service. Sold to Huron Air & Outfitting in May 1984 and operated with them until May 1998 when it was involved in a crash taking off from Machawaian Lake, Ontario. Subsequently rebuilt and sold to Nestor Falls Fly-In Outposts who still operate the aircraft at the time of upload, although it was converted to a Texas Turbine Otter during the winter of 2007/8

Damaged in a forced landing after the engine failed in September 1971, C-FUJM was tied up in court proceedings on who was responsible for repair of the aircraft for five years. Rebuilt in 1976 and painted in this new color scheme, the Otter was ferried to Vancouver for lease to Tyee Airways, but that lease fell through. It was stored until sold to West Coast Air in January 1977. Later painted in West Coast's full colors (and after that Air BC and Trans-Provincial Airways).

Taxiing on the waters of Regina Bay, Lake of the Woods, just offshore from the Nestor Falls base of its operator Northwest Flying Inc, where it had served from 1979. Still in the basic colours worn with its first civil operator after US Army service, the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh with whom it flew as N1UW.

Delivered to the US Army as 59-2210 in December 1959, this Otter was struck off strength in 1973. Bought by Laurentian Air Services, the aircraft was refurbished and put into service as C-GLAB in August 1974. It flew around the province of Ontario until 1981 when it moved to Quebec with Air Schefferville. It remained in Quebec with several other bush operators until acquired by Wilderness Air in May 2000. Based in Vermilion Bay, C-GLAB was converted to a Vazar Turbine Otter over the winter of 2007 / 08.

About to make a 180 degree turn to the right and glide alongside the inner dock at the Nestor Falls base of its operator, Northwest Flying Inc, where it had served since 1979. Sold on to Chimo Air Service at Red Lake, Ontario in 2012.

Still wearing the basic colours of its first civil operator, the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh where it flew as N1UW. Later painted into Northwest Flying's brown and cream scheme. Sold in 2012 to Chimo Air Service of Red Lake, Ontario.

Departing from Northern Wilderness Outfitters' base on Rainy Lake beside and to the north of Highway 11. Delivered new to the US Army in 1959 as 58-1692 and saw service in Vietnam. Joined Fort Frances Sportsmen Airways / Northern Wilderness Outfitters in 1984. Received a Vazar turbine conversion to PT-6A power over the winter of 1997/98. Later repainted into dark red/purple and silver colours, retaining Northern Wilderness Outfitters titles.

Seen here taxiing across Lake Hood. Delivered new to the Ghana Air Force as G307 in December 1961. Returned to Canada to be rebuilt and civilianised in 1974. Flew as C-GLCR in 1976. Became N2899J in 1986, joining Rust's in 1989. Vazar Turbine conversion was carried out in 2000 in Victoria BC, returning to Rust's service thereafter.

Originally US Navy 144674 1958- 66, this Otter was among six that operated in the Antarctic for Operation Deep Freeze. It was transferred to the Army National Guard with hybrid serial 0-4674 before service with the Civil Air Patrol as N5348G in 1977. Bought by Sioux Narrows Airways in 1978, it became C-GGSL. Converted with the Polish PZL-1000 engine in 1990, it was acquired by Pipestone Air in 2005 supporting Pipestone Fly-In Outposts. This striking Walleye mural scheme was airbrushed over the winter of 2018 / 19.
