Ex USAAF 42-92247, RAF FL615, RCAF FL615 and CF-TDO. Registered in South Africa since August 1963. Being operated by Oriole Express. More recently, after 13 years of storage at Rand, the aircraft was flown to Wonderboom in January 2010 and is believed to remain in storage there at time of upload.

Perth based Travair owned VH-SBL. It is being used here as a prop for a movie, TV show or advertisement seeking to emulate an Australian National Airways DC-3 from the 1950s.

Former USAF 42-100931 flew paratroopers for the D-Day Invasion June 5 / 6 , 1944. The aircraft few in Canada as CF-JUV / C-FJUV 1957 - 89. It's pictured untitled flying with North Cariboo Flying Service. Sold in the USA in 1989 as N394CA (later N1944M), the aircraft is presently displayed in American Airlines colors as NC16005 Flagship Orange County in the Lyon Air Museum at John Wayne Airport at the time of uploading.

This C-47A was built at Oklahoma City and Taken on Charge with the USAAF as 43-48254. In October 1947 the plane started flying with Aero O/Y (the forerunner to Finnair) as OH-LCF 'Kyytipoika'. Its military career resumed in February 1960 when it went to the Finnish AF as DO-4. The plane was earmaked for preservation and by May 1982 became part of the (predecessor museum to the) Suomen Ilmavoimamuseo.

Two DC-3 being transferred from MMA to Ansett Airlines of Papua New Guinea (the other was VH-MMD) were painted in this much simplified variation of the standard Ansett livery. Both aircraft were later repainted in the full livery.

Operated by Qantas crews under contract to the USAAF on a courier service between Brisbane to Papua New Guinea. The "civil" registration was a radio callsign and the aircraft were not civil registered. 43-15436 was returned to the USAAF after the American headquarters were moved to the Philippines and the need to use civilian pilots diminished.

Ex 42-24211 with the USAAF and operated during the inbvasion of Sicily in July/September 1943. To Algerienne de Transports Aeriens in June 1948 as F-BEFA. Later to a few other owners, keeping this registration. To Royal Air MAroc around June 1957 as CN-CCL. To The Royal Moroccan Air Force as 20669/CN-ALM. To Keenair around July 1978 as N54607. Cancelled in August 1988 and became G-BPMP around February 1989. Withdrawn from use and scheduled for restoration, which was suspended due to the Gulf War. In December 1992 corrosion was discovered, so the frame was sold to Air Atlantique for spares. Scrapped in April1995, although the nose section clearly lives on.
