Built in 1963 and initially imported as CF-BHY in 1968. Exported as N588P in 1990 then re-imported as C-GEAW in 1992. Exported as CC-CLI in 2002 then restored as C-GEAW in October 2007, only to be exported as OB-1835-P in December 2007. That's not the end of the story as it was re-imported as C-FGAI in October 2014 and current in 2023 as VH-EJL since November 2014.

The 1934 Challenge International de Tourisme was organised in Warsaw but here the Polish and German participants are seen in Berlin, one of the first waypoints in a 9537.4 km rally: roughly Warsaw - Brussels - Casablanca - Tunis - Rome - Vienna - Prague - Warsaw. The Polish machines are RWD-9s and PZL P-26s. The RWD-9 did very well: Jerzy Bajan in SP-DRD won the general classification of the Challenge, Stanisław Płonczyński in SP-DRC, top left, came second and Jan Buczyński in SP-DRE took fifth place overall. In the background are the German Fieseler Fi 97s, Klemm Kl 32s and Messerschmitt Bf 108s. All five types were designed specifically for this event.

Last flight of a Swedish Hkp4. It was delivered today to the Aeromusee at the former military airbase of Save, now known as Goteborg City Airport. The Swedish, who have all their military helicopters organized into a single independent command, still have one Hkp4 with some flight hours left. However, it is stored and not expected to fly again. After the withdrawal from use of the last Japanese Vertol 107 last year this leaves the USMC as the last operator of a handful of CH-46's.
