According the caption this aircraft as damaged by flak but returned to its base. It shows signs of a belly landing. The caption says it was repaired. ER120 crashed on a ridge in Tunisia due to flak damage in April 1943 and struck off charge later that year. The photo is captioned North Africa. According the caption this aircraft as damaged by flak but returned to its base. It shows signs of a belly landing. The caption says it was repaired. ER120 crashed on a ridge in Tunisia due to flak damage in April 1943 and struck off charge later that year. The photo is captioned North Africa. July 1961: Trucked dismantled to Paul Garber Facility, Silver Hill, Suitland, MD. By 2003 the plane was completely restored and displayed at the new Udvar-Hazy Center in Reston, VA.
