Originally 57-444 with the US Air Force until withdrawn and stored in 1968, this Voodoo came to the Canadian Air Force in 1971. Struck off strength August 1, 1989, it's on display at North Atlantic Aviation Museum in Gander, Newfoundland at the time of uploading.

Transport Command's 412 Squadron flew this Falcon 20 1969 - 1977. Converted to an ECM trainer, it's pictured with 414 Sqn based out of North Bay, ON. The aircraft was transferred to the National Research Council in 1990 and registered C-FIGD. It's current at the time of uploading as part of the NRC's varied research fleet based in Ottawa, ON.

Two years later this aircraft was W/O on 15th October 1980 at Chapais QC.

Operated by 439 Sqdn. Written off 18th August 1978 when it suffered a bird strike at low altitude, Oberthal, Germany.

Sold to the Dominican Republic Air Force as there serial number 3059

Became N7242V

This CF-104 is in fact 104790 and served with 439 Sqn, 1 Canadian Air Group at CFB Baden-Soellingen, Germany. It is displayed as 104756 Museum in it's 1976 NATO Tiger Meet colours.

Whilst this photo is well below expected standards, it is offered out of interest as it now clear that the Canadian Kingfisher programme to replace the SAR Buffalos faces serious problems with shortfalls in performance delaying further deliveries. Weight increases have led to the CC-295 being underpowered. This example was flight testing last summer and still sits awaiting its fate next to 295516. Meantime, CC-130Hs are being used in a stop-gap role. Rather like the USN NC-37 I've just uploaded, it's one of those frustrating southward views where the sun never reaches that side of the subject.
