Not put into production, the aircraft was stored NAS Norflok, VA from 1948 until it was sold as N54205 in 1958. Stored again Ryan Field, Tucson, AZ after 1966. This rare amphibian has been on display at Pima Air and Space Museum, Tucson, AZ since 1987.

This was one of the last Convair twins to be built, being accepted by SAS as OY-KPF in 2.58 and sold to Botswana as 3D-ACD in 11.76. Bought by KAS in 5.78 as per this picture but sold to Cochise Airlines by 7.79 as N8042T, passing to Air Resorts Airlines in 11.82. Wfu at Carlsbad, CA 1990 and b/u late Nineties

Sold in 11.78, by this time the world's last flying example of the type. Owned by Aircraft Salvage of Dallas, and allegedly used for smuggling in the Caribbean until 1980. Then scrapped in the early part of the decade at Greater Inagua Island, Bahamas.
