Not put into production, the aircraft was stored NAS Norflok, VA from 1948 until it was sold as N54205 in 1958. Stored again Ryan Field, Tucson, AZ after 1966. Sold in 11.78, by this time the world's last flying example of the type. Owned by Aircraft Salvage of Dallas, and allegedly used for smuggling in the Caribbean until 1980. Then scrapped in the early part of the decade at Greater Inagua Island, Bahamas.
