Became N80995 in 2004 then cancelled on export to Canada. Delivered as an A-6A in April 1967, this Intruder was later converted to a KA-6D tanker. Pictured with VA-52 from the USS Carl Vinson, it would transfer to VA-95 aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln in 1991. On July 9, 1991 while on an aerial refueling mission, the Bombardier/Navigator went half way through the canopy after an uncommanded ejection firing. A successful emergency landing was made aboard the carrier and no critical injuries were suffered. A new seat and canopy were installed, along with some other repairs and it flew again for several months before being retired.
