VH-EBE was used to carry cattle from Pakistan to Papua New Guinea, then under Australian rule, for a program to develop a better breed for hot tropical climates. The cattle were not allowed into Australia for biosecurity reasons. Biosecurity also meant the cattle had to be kept on the aircraft from Karachi to Port Moresby. This An-2 was originally delivered to the Krygzstani directorate of Aeroflot as CCCP-33321 in July 1987, later becoming UR-33321 in Ukraine. The westward progression continued as in 1996 it was registered 9A-BZB and from November 2010 it has been on the Serbian register as YU-BSA.

Very rare photo of ex USAAF 42-72334, which was converted by Douglas to C54B-DC, and delivered to Pan Am as NX88892 in August 1946. For some reason the aircraft was registered with the NX prefix, denoting "experimental". It was reportedly never taken in service and remained unnamed (note it only carries the word "Clipper", without an actual name). Instead it went to Avianca Colombia as C-114 in September 1946, but on February 15, 1947 the aircraft crashed into Mount El Tablazo en-route from Barranquilla to Bogotá, killing all 53 people on board - which at the time, was the worst commercial airline crash in history.

Scanned from a print with no info recorded, so Christchurch location is surmised. First flown on 28 August 1950 and loaned from the Ministry of Supply for the London-New Zealand Air Race. Preserved in the "Road of Life" museum on the banks of Lake Ladoga since 1973. The really interesting museum tells a lot about the history of the blockade of St.Petersburg in WWII by German and Finnish troops. This prticular Li-2 was build in 1949 at the factory No.126 Komsomolsk-na-Amure-Dzyomg. Till 1970 she was flying for the Aeroflot divisions North Kavkaz, Kirovograd Advanced Flying Training College and Northern-LED. Previous registrations were CCCP-L4681 and CCCP-84681. The 4681 black was painted on the plane at the museum in the past, but is not present anymore.

Built in July 1934 as part of an order for launch customer TWA, it was soon disposed of as the DC-3 became available to them and was purchased by Braniff. Photo taken at what is probably the site of the current Oklahoma City airport. It then passed to the US War Department as 42-61096 but was deregistered on 4 May 1943. It was operated by Aerovias Brazil until a landing accident at Lagoa Santa on 5 February 1947 damaged the aircraft beyond repair. (Unknown Photographer)

First registered to Western Airlines in April 1946 as N10203, it was sold to Australian National Airways (ANA) in July 1947 as VH-ANG. Then to British Commonwealth Pacific Airlines (BCPA) in April 1948 as VH-BPD before being purchased by QEA in May 1949 as VH-EBM. After being with them for ten years it was sold to Zantup Air Transport (N600Z) and probably converted for cargo operations. Delivered on July 2, 1935, to Braniff at what is probably the site of the current Oklahoma City airport. A few years later it was sold to Boston & Maine Airways re registered as NC242. By the late 1940s, "1030" had been sold to Wisconsin Air Central re-registered NC842. "1030" was then sold to Cordova Air Service in Alaska and registered N842 on 6 February 1952. Qantas' connection with the Liberator came in World War II when they were used non-stop between Australia and Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) as part of a UK- Australia air link. Moved to Duxford in 1984 after the museum closed then to North Weald in 1987. Stored outside from 1989 and became derelict. Moved to Wycombe Air Park in 2006 and stored in dismantled condition. Preserved at the Wings Museum, Balcombe, West Sussex from 2012.

Registered as PH-FST in 1959, G-BBYA in G-BBYA in 1974 and SU-AZQ in 1978. Scrapped at Embaba, Egypt.

Registered as HB-LAS in 1955 then G-AZPG in 1972. Withdrawn from use at Southend by 1977 and scrapped in 1979.
