Experimental aircraft equipped with two contra-rotating discs built by Jacob Ellehammer in 1912. This helicopter made a number of free take-offs until September 1916, when it tipped over during take-off, destroying its rotors.

The Dutch national archives know nothing about this old press archive photo but the Reading Sky Observers, described as forerunner of Air-Britain, installed this Ju fuselage as a clubhouse at Woodley in 1947. Scrapped there by Miles Aircraft, c/n 641038 was built by Amiot in March 1944 and delivered to Lufthansa as D-AUAV Julius Nimis. On 23 April 1945, D-AUAV escaped from Berlin - Tempelhof with a load of passengers. On 3 May it made one of the last DLH flights, from Flensburg to Copenhagen and Malmö and back. Captured by British forces and allocated serial AM104. Its last flight was on 23 August 1945 to Farnborough for an exhibition of German aircraft. Photo from: Nationaal Archief (Netherlands)

Two HS.748s formed for years the backbone of the Upper Volta/ Burkina Faso airlift capability. This one is preserved in a fairly good condition on BA 511 Ouagadougou.

Preserved at the Southwest Aerospace Museum which closed in 1992. It was moved on to the airfield after the museum closed. Bought by a private party in 2001 and trucked to Colorado Springs, CO. Preserved off the West side of the airport at the Radisson Inn & Suites on Newport Road.

Struck off charge at Kelly AFB, TX in 1967. Preserved at Lackland AFB ,TX. then to Southwest Aerospace Museum. Moved to the Aviation Heritage Museum in the Lockheed plant at Carswell AFB then to the Frontiers of Flight Museum, Love Field, Dallas, TX in 2006.

Stored at Davis-Monthan AFB in 1970. To the Southwest Aerospace Museum in 1981, the Lone Star Flight Museum, Galveston, TX in 1992 and then to Little Rock AFB Heritage Park, AR in 2012.
