This former USAF Provider had originally been built as a C-123B but was later converted to C-123J. It was placed in storage at MASDC in 1976 and delivered to the RoKAF the following year. Since 1995 it is on display in the Seoul war museum. Seen here after sunset and after a fresh paint job.

This Goose is painted as V190 which crashed into cliffs on Block Island, RI in April 1942. It is actually the next in series, V191 which was sold off after the war and registered as NC5538N in 1948. While with Catalina Seaplanes it was involved in three major accidents causing substantial damage. In July 1966 it landed in the wake of a tugboat causing the tail unit to distort, in January 1970 it nosed over on landing in the water wheels down and in December the same year it collided with another aircraft on the ground while taxiing at Long Beach. In 1974 registered N12CS and to museum c.1986

Beaver 58600 is a mystery. Given how South Korea's Beavers were serialled one would think this is 55-8600, but that serial does not exist, nor is there any option in the fy58 range. One report suggests this is in fact 82073 (58-2073, c/n 1406/1954), which was noted in 2011 at the Daejeon army camp. Perhaps it was moved to the cemetary and repainted with a fake serial?

The identity of this F-86F is unclear. Given its current serial, the obvious candidate is 55-3833 (c/n 227-18). This F-86F was delivered to Japan as JASDF 62-7439. Many former JASDF aircraft went to South Korea. However, according to Joe Baugher's website this aircraft went to Tunisia under MAP in 1969. The Scramble database mentions this aircraft under Tunisia with only the 1969 delivery date as the first and last noted date but lists its JASDF serial as FMS serial. I suspect that there is a real chance that 55-3833 in fact went to RoKAF and is on display now in the Grand Park.

From new in 1970 served Electronic Attack Squadrons (VAQ) 129, 130, 140, 137 and 129 (all at NAS Whidbey Island, WA). In 1996 transferred to Strike Aircraft Test and Evaluation Squadron 23 (VX-23), NAS Patuxent River, MD, then VX-9 at NAS China Lake, CA before going back to Pat River with VX-23. It has been preserved at Pensacola since 2010, at which time it was the oldest active EA-6B, in the marks of that last unit

The Mi-8 was used in considerable numbers by the Belarusian air force, after the country gained independence when the Soviet Union fell apart. This PS-version is enjoying its retirement in a riverside park in the Norther Belarusian town of Pastavy.

Taken on with VS-41 at NAS North Island in late 1968 and deployed with VAL-4 to Vietnam in early next year. Unit decommissioned in the Philippines in 1972 and by 1980 the Bronco had been assigned to VMO-4 (Marine Observation Squadron 4) at Atlanta. By 1991, transferred to VMO-1 at MCAS New River, NC. Stored at MCAS Cherry Point, NC in 1995, it was later displayed at MCAS Quantico, VA and at Charlotte before joining the Pensacola museum collection where it was restored into its VAL-4 colours

The spectacular sight found in the central atrium of the National Naval Aviation Museum. Three of these are genuine Blue Angels Skyhawks but the lead aircraft '1' marked as 154180 (which is actually in the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field) is actually 150076. There quite a few A-4s scattered around in the US masquerading as Blue Angels aircraft, often not genuine

Built in 1945, SOC at Woodvale in July 1954 and displayed at Hucknall until August 1957 when moved for display at RAF Andover. Allocated maintenance serial 7758M and moved to Benson in 1962. The aircraft then had mixed fortunes for many years being used as a parts source in the Battle of Britain film, as a traveling exhibit with 71MU at Bicester, as a gate guard at Benson and several years in storage with the RAF Museum at various locations. Restored at Cosford in 2010 and loaned for display in Kuwait in 2013, returning to Cosford in 2019.
