On display at Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, NASM. This ex-RCAF Lysander with s/n 2346 was sold to a private owner in Canada, then the USA, eventually reaching NASM. She carries the later code 'AC-B' of No. 138 (Special Duties) Sqn. RAF which flew an assortment of aircraft. During 1941-42, No. 138 (SD) Sqn. used the code 'NF' and such a Lysander would have a ladder fixed to the fuselage and carried a 150 gal. fuel tank to drop off and collect agents in France.

This Gnat is actually the former XS102. It has been painted in the colours of the Yellowjacks display team. The real XR992 crashed on 16 December 1969 when flying with the Red Arrows, after the pilot ejected because he heard a call that his aircraft was on fire, but that call was intended for another aircraft....

This 1952-built Chipmunk never served with the RAF. It is actually ex Royal Danish Air Force 12-132 and P-132, and it became F-AZCH in May 1984 (OY-ALW not taken up). Two months later it was painted in these fake RAF markings as WB557, and it has flown as such ever since.

This very nice and authentic Tiger Moth was built by Morris Motors and delivered to the RAF as T6553 in Aug 1941. Withdrawn from use in Dec 1950 and sold in Oct 1953. Became G-APIG in Oct 1957 and went though several owners until stored in Oct 1973. Restored in 1976 and painted in its original RAF markings as T6553. First post-restoration flight was on 23 Dec 1976. Sold to France 10 years later, and registered as F-AZEI on 31 Dec 1987. It had several French owners before it was registered to its current owners Marc Jannin and Annie Le Flohic on 17 Jan 2000. The aircraft is based at Bernay.
