This AT-19 was built by Vultee and TOC by the USAAF as 42-46643 and during its service life it also flew with the Fleet Air Arm as FK817 and the US Navy as 11297. It then passed on to the N-register as N70096 and became N817FK in 1997 before arriving at Classic trainers in June 2016. This P-2 was formerly G-PTWO and is pictured here at the Classic Trainers Open Hangar. To reduce costs during development the Swiss recycled parts from surplus, older aircraft already in their inventory. for example, landing gear from their Messerschmitt Bf 109s and the similarity can clearly be seen.

This particular Classic Trainers Open Hangar was dedicated to the Czech pilots in the Battle of Britain so no surprise that this old friend had star billing.

This Kaydet was taken on charge by the US Navy as 43436. After decomissioning it was placed on the civil register as N1330M in 1948 and by 1953 was being flown as a crop duster. In 1969 it was converted to a two-seater and subsequently was registered N43GK and N785L. In 1987 it underwent a restoration after which it reverted back to N43GK and was acquired by Classic Trainers in 2010 with a USN Yellow Peril scheme. At some point over the past few years this has been changed to 'FJ934' RAF markings.

This Texan was built in Dallas and TOC by the USAAF as 42-44038 and subsequently with the South African Air Force as 7696. It became N696RE in August 1997 and arrived in Pilsen around June 1012. It has recently discarded its old SAAF markings and received this pseudo-RAF scheme becoming FX352, perhaps in recognition of the many WWII Czech pilots that trained on Harvards.

This Fishbed-D was TOC in April 1965 and flew with the 8. stíhací letecký pluk (8th Fighter Air Regiment). It was decomissioned in January and allocated for preservation. It has been around the museums in the Czech Republic, spending time at Vyskov, Olomouc and Zruč Air Park before arriving at Classic Trainers. The frame is now something of a shell with no cockpit or engine.
