Delivered to the RAF as NH904 in 1945. To the Belgian Air Force as SG108 in 1951 then to a scrapyard in Ostend in 1957. To the UK for restoration in 1966. Took part in static scenes in the Battle of Britain film in 1968. Airworthy as G-FIRE in 1981. To the USA as N8118J in 1989 then to N114BP in 1991. At the Palm Springs Air Museum from 1997.

This Spitfire was delivered originally in 1945 to the RAF as NH904 and then in April 1951 to the Force Arienne Belge as SG108. It was used in static scenes for filming the 'Battle of Britain' and was also part of the Strathallan Collection. Restoration to airworthiness was completed in march 1981 and flew as G-FIRE. By December 1988 it had been crated at Duxford and transported by ship to the USA. It the following years, this plane has been associated with various museums & collections and was flown in the filming of the movie Pearl Harbor.
