1945: TOS USAAF as C-45F 44-86946. By 4/46: 106th Squadron/43rd Group—Unit types not noted. 4 Nov 46: Registered NC9729H. 2 Jan 47: Registered N9729H. Then three owners then on 11 Aug 1988: Robert A. Younkin, Lowell AR. 5/23/99: Crashed with one fatality, the airframe was destroyed (Younkin not aboard). The accident occurred at Waldron, AR while attempting to land with an engine hanging on lower mount only.

The airfield of Brno Slatina, also known as Cernovice, was abandonned in the early 1990s. When we visited in 1992, eight aircraft that apparently had been used as instructional airframes or had been preserved there were outside, including this MiG-15bis built by Aero Vodochody. It first flew in January 1955 and was operated by the Czechoslovak Air Force until 1966.

This is a license built Yak-11. Let built 707 of these aircraft. It has remained in this museum ever since this picture was taken in 1992.

This MiG-19PM was operated by the Chechoslovak Air Force from 1961 until 1972. During our visit to the country, shortly before it was separated into two countries, we saw this great aircraft in the museum at Kunovice airfield, where it later was restored. It looks much better now.

This Su-7 was operated by the Czechoslovakia Air Force from 1965 until 1988. It then was moved to the museum at Kunovice airport, where it has remained since.
