Operated by the Netherlands Navy in September 1953 as 8-2. Became 076 in August 1959. Put in storage at Valkenburg bbbetween December 1961 and November 1964. then to the technical school the Navy until 1973. Transport to Schiphol by ship in March 1974. To the Aviodrome in 1975.

Ex. D-HDJD (1977 and earlier) and HB-XGM (July 1977). Became PH-KHD in August 1996.

A former East Germany Air Force aircraft. Placed on display at the Aviodrome in 2003.

Delivered to Inter-Canadien in April 1989 as C-FICY. To Intair in October 1989. Back to ILFC in August 1991 as N602RP. To Air Uk in October 1992 as G-UKFA. To KLM uk in January 1998. To KLM Cityhopper in August 2003 as PH-OFA. Withdrawn from use and stroed at Amsterdam between November 13, 2009 and June 23, 2020. Ferried to Lelystad to be displayed at the Aviodrome.

Ex FT288 with the RAF, later exported to the Netherland to become B-73. The aircraft became an instructional frame after a few years and was was later used for testing. It was eventually acquired by the Aviodrome.

After the ferry flight (marking its last flight ever) to The Netherlands, the registration 'PH-DDY' was reserved but not taken up. The aircraft was used for spare parts to keep c/n 42934 (ZS-NUR, 6901, ZS-NUR, 6902, PH-DDS, ZS-AUA) airworthy. The aircraft was transported to the museum by road and displayed in Government Air Transport colors with markings NL-316. Around 2018, she was repainted to represent the PH-TAR (which did exist at some point, c/n 42923). She now makes a nice eyecatcher at the children's playground at the museum.

Operated by the USAAF around 1942 as 42-107469. Later to an unknown owner as NC53103. To N53103 around November 1946, but cancelled again a month later as it became NC-registered again. To Philippine Airlines in 1948 as PI-C102. To Thai Airways in 1951 with the same registration. To HS-POE (1953), HS-TSA (August 1958) and the Thai Air Force (after 1958, as 42-107469). To Botswana in 1967 as VQ-ZEF, later to A2-ZEF. Became ZS-IPR in 1972. To the SAAF in 1981 as 6906. Put in storage in February 1994. Then to the Dutch Dakota Association (DDA) as PH-DDY, ferried to The Netherlands in June 1997.

Delivered to US Navy as 147641. Later to the Netherlands Navy as 151. To a playground near Hoeven by 1976. Acquired by the ROC Amsterdam Airport as training aircraft for mechanics-to-be. Eventually to the Aviodrome. Initially painted in a fictive KLM livery (also the case at the school), later to the Netherlands Navy colors.

Carrying a fake registration, the aircraft is actually PH-GOO.

In 1918, a Hansa-Brandenburg W-12 got stranded near Rottumeroog. The aircraft was interned and studied by the Marine Luchtvaartdienst (MLD, now known as the Navy). The MLD liked what they saw and wanted to license-build the aircraft. A suitable factory was sought and eventually they wound up at Van Berkel, who was/is more known for their scales and meat cutting machines. In 1919-1920, a total of 35 aircraft were built. 15 of them stayed in the Netherlands, the rest went to the Netherlands East Indies. The real W57 (c/n 1) was built in 1920 and written off after a crash near Den Helder.

Delivered to the US Navy in September 1935 as 9993. To several corporations and private owners from January 1946, first as NC39165, later as N39165. She became the world's last airworthy DC-2 in 1970. In 1983, the markings PH-AJU/44 were applied, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original Uiver winning the London - Melbourne race in the handicap class. The aircraft was ferried to Amsterdam that same year and completed the original air race route in 1984. To the Aviodrome in 1999. She is reportedly still airworthy, although she hasn't flown in a long time.

Background: Aeriane Sirocco (PH-2B7, c/n 90-061), HM-14 (G-AEOF, c/n WM.1), Auster J/1 (PH-NFH, c/n 1845, silver fuselage & yellow stripping, with prop), Sagitta 013 (PH-308, c/n 006, white & blue leading edge wings), Schleicher K.8B (PH-393, c/n 8768, red wings & tail), Schleicher Ka-4 Rhonlerche II (PH-375, c/n 3078, white & blue fuselage), Grunau Baby IIb (PH-170, c/n 6052, yellow fuselage). PH-NDC (Fokker S-12) is possibly back there is well, hidden from sight. I think I also see Stearman Hammond Y-1S tails. The yellow metal could be Fairey Firefly TT.I SE-CAU.

Delivered to the USAF in 1949 as 48-0612. Withdrawn from use in October 1967. To Christler Flying Services in July 1970 as N9465. To Beaver Air Spray in July 1979 as C-GXKR. Withdrawn from use and stored at St. Jean, Quebec, Canada. To Conifair Aviation around October 1981 as N749VR. Seen in April 2002 as N749NL at Avra Valley, Arizona. Restored by May 2002 and made its first flight since 1994. The ferry to The Netherlands started on September 15, 2002., routing Fort Worth, Alpena, Goose Bay, Keflavik, Duxford, Manston, Lelystad and Schiphol. Forever a shame she wasnt given a chance to fly.

Ex. 19 Yellow with the Lithuanian Air Force. Now preserved at the restaurant area of the museum.

Ex. USAAF 42-23974, RAF FD938, SAAF 6867, ZS-NJE and G-BVOL (June 1994 - May 1996). When the aircraft first became preserved, it was already clear that it would be unfeasable to make it airworthy again. Although parts of it did become airborne again, after the wings, tail section and undercarriage were swapped with the PH-PBA, to restore the PH-PBA to airworthy condition. The aircraft is named after one of KLM's early days pilots, who has led quite an interesting life (which I only came to know while doing research).

Operated by the Royal Navy as XJ350 in a previous life. To the museum in 1980, where the fake registration PH-MAD was applied.

Operated by the RAF between June 1961 and May 1976 as XN600. Placed on display at the Aviodrome in November 2003.

It was long thought that all pre-war KLM airrcaft were lost, until museum employees got a tip from Venezuelan colleagues during a conference in 1999. 6 months after, the pilot who had flown the Fokker in 1939 was found and thanks to his info, the aircraft was found. The aircraft had been cannibalized by local Indians, but they were willing to trade in their parts. There are videos available of this expidition, which show way more than I could ever write here. The elevated viepoint for this photo also gives a nice impression of the other '100 years of aviation' exhibitis.

Ex. US Army Air Force 42-87261. To the RAF as FR199, where it served between June 1944 and June 1945. The aircraft was damaged, repaired and transferred to the Dutch 320 Sqn (Navy) as A-22 (applied on the aircraft as 1-22). In March 1950, the serial system was revised and the aircraft became M-9 (applied as 13-9). Third serial issued in December 1950 after a complete overhaul at Aviolanda, B-9 (applied as 2-9). Operated from March 1947 until May 1954. After leaving the Navy it went to the Technical University Delft. Converted into a flight simulator. Donated to the museum in 1981.
